What are good (healthy) foods that I can prepare for meals about a week in advance?
I’m looking to start a diet. Nothing specific, but just much healthier. I want to prepare about a weeks worth of meals at a time, every week, because my main downfall of diets is not being able to prepare food when I’m in a rush, and just grabbing something unhealthy while I’m out. After that it’s a downward spiral. I figure if I can just prepare everything a week at a time, no matter how much of a rush I’m in, I can just open the fridge or freezer, grab what I need, and head out the door. So I’m just looking for recipes of food that won’t go bad after a week but will still taste good after being frozen.
for meat a big roast beef can be cooked and then left in the freezer for weeks at a time. for veggies u can buy a mixture of frozen corn, peas, broccoli, cauliflower and much more in the same package that will virtually last forever and are healthy. and obviously for dairy u can use milk. and for grains u can boil rice or pasta(for the pasta should add a sauce of oil or tomatos) and the put it in a container and leave it in the fridge so u can microwave or fry it up in a matter of minutes when you want it
